Preamble
We, the people of the United National State, in the pursuit of peace, justice, and common welfare, affirm our commitment to democratic principles, human rights, and unity in diversity. We renounce all forms of discrimination and oppression and vow to protect the rights of all citizens, regardless of their ethnic, religious, or cultural background.
Article 1: Fundamental Rights
Every citizen is guaranteed fundamental human rights and freedoms, including the right to life, liberty, and security.
No discrimination based on gender, race, religion, ethnic affiliation, sexual orientation, or any other personal characteristic shall be permitted.
Article 2: State Structure
The State is a parliamentary democracy.
Power is shared between an executive, a legislative, and a judicial branch.
Article 3: Judiciary and Security Forces
The judiciary shall be independent and impartial.
The security forces, including the police and military, will have oversized resources to deter and manage internal and external threats, and to maintain internal order and security.
Security forces shall be subject to civil oversight and legal jurisdiction, and members who commit crimes will be brought to justice.
Article 4: International Support and Cooperation
The State will strive to maintain good relations with all countries and international organizations.
The State will seek international support and assistance to build institutions and develop a sustainable economy.
Article 5: Changes to the Constitution
Amendments to this constitution require approval in a referendum, where at least two-thirds of the votes are in favor of the change.
No amendment may be made that undermines the fundamental principles of democracy and human rights established in this constitution.
